The main mission of the current Brussels Healthnetwork of Abrumet is to protect life by providing access ONLY to the treating doctors (GP's and doctors in Hospitals) of relevant patient medical data.
The reason of this project?
With the introducing of the project Multisafe=Brusafe+, the new multidisciplinary safe of Brussels, makes it possible to share electronically the Health data among the first line of care via International norms.
There is a wide range of health care providers that are implemented in our project using international standards. Nevertheless, the project provides a hybrid system where the existing Kmehr standard of the Hub-Metahub system can be read vice-versa.
The project itself provides the KMEHR CDA-mapping in both directions.
Future possibilities?
Abrumet is representing Belgium for the Brussels region in the the participation of Abrumet for the CEF(=Connecting Europe Facility) project for the cross-boarder patient summary sharing.
e.g. A patient is going on holiday in Spain and has to be treated there. CEF will make it possible that even the healthcare providers in another country can access to the patients' full medical data.
That's a major value on a long-term base.
Therefor this project will be automatically compatible for Europe and no additional developments for the 3rd parties will be necessary, because this project encounters the mapping and makes use of the international standards.
