Documents that are stored in the XDS Repository and registered in the XDS Registry, should contain a set of metadata. From an interoperability and usability of the information point of view, the metadata used should be a preset set of information. In the Netherlands there is a set of codes that is maintained by NICTIZ in conjunction with several software suppliers (including VANAD Enovation, the supplier of the Brusafe+ platform).
In Belgium such an organisation has not yet been founded. Therefor there is a need for the suppliers that operate within Belgium to work together to create a set of codes that can be used in XDS Environments.
